Happy New Year from the CCC. A new year always provides opportunities to try new things. We have a few new training options that I would like to introduce to you.
First, I would like to say thank you for supporting the CCC over the years. We exist because of your support. We exist to support you. Whether it’s training, technical assistance, regulation questions or a simple question ….. we hope to be your primary resource for information.
In the new year, we have our regular face to face training options to choose from for teachers in the Bluegrass Region and/or the Lincoln Trail Region. We have several new topics on our new training calendar. We are excited about a few new options that provide “alternative” learning opportunities to early care and education professionals. While we value face to face professional development, we also know in today’s busy world that alternative options are a need. See below a few new alternative training options that may be of interest to you.
ON-DEMAND TRAINING (THIS INCLUDES ORIENTATION I&II) – this training option allows participants to participate in classes at their own pace. You can start, stop and come back at any time with this option. Upon completion, a certificate is generated by our system and credit is entered into ECE-TRIS. This is a great option for teachers who don’t prefer face to face trainings. Check out these options here. WEBINAR/ONLINE TRAINING – this training type is a hybrid between on-demand and face to face. Trainings are “live” but not in person. Participants enjoy this class from their computer, phone or tablet. Trainings take place through either Facebook Live or a platform called ZOOM. Both allow participants the ability to participate and ask questions during the live trainings. Many of these trainings are a facilitated Q/A type of training. Great thing about these trainings is we can have experts from anywhere as part of the content. View these training options (click Online/Webinar)
PODCAST and VIDEO TRAINING – this training type includes watching and/or listening to content then completing an assessment (80% or higher) to earn credit. Viewing the content is free. Their is a cost to take the assessment for training credit. Check out these training options – Podcast | Video.
BOOK TRAINING – this training method has two options. Pick a book from our approved selection, read it and take an assessment (80% or higher to earn credit). Credit hours are determined by content and length of each book. View options.
Or participate in our “Book Of The Month” Club. With the Book Of The Month, you will participate in a weekly discussion with a credentialed trainer in a closed Facebook group. Earn 4 hours of credit monthly through the Book Of The Month Club.
