Teens will participate in three days of early childhood training and will design and present one literacy activity and one art activity. Teens will be given the opportunity to learn new skills and apply what they have learned directly into a supervised classroom, in a small group setting of pre-school children. Teens will also receive basic CPR and First-Aid training.
Parents must provide transportation to and from the CCC each day. Teens should arrive on time and be picked up promptly.
Teens will be transported from the CCC to the center and back on Thursday and Friday.
A light lunch will be provided on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please bring a lunch on Thursday and Friday. A light snack will be provided on these days.
KM-TPA is under the direction of CCC staff members who hold Kentucky Credentialed Trainers certifications. Teens will be directly supervised and supported at all times when presenting their activities in the classroom.
